3 Tips to Prevent Damage & Split-Ends

1) Try In-salon Deep Conditioning Treatments
If you've been out enjoying the summertime at the beach or in a pool, chances are the sun has caused your hair to become a little dehydrated. In-salon treatments are more powerful than your everyday take-home products and will go a long way in keeping your hair healthy and shiny.

2) Take care with Ponytails & Buns
DO NOT put your hair in a ponytail or bun when it is wet or damp. When the hair is wet, it's weaker. It's stretched out and weighed down by the water absorbed. As it dries it starts to shrink and puts more strain on the hair and scalp causing breakage. Put it up dry and don't pull it back or wrap it up too tight!
3) Keep your hot tools around 380 degrees
When the temperature is set too high on curling irons, wands, and flat irons, it can be extremely taxing on the hair. Try it at 380 degrees and see how it goes! You'll probably find that's still plenty of heat to do the job. Also, be especially careful around the hairline. The hair in that area is typically finer and more susceptible to damage.
